October 19, 2023Pro.Chefs is looking for a chef to work in Nanyuki in the capacity of a Sous Chef.
As a Sous Chef, your responsibilities will be to:
Assist in menu preparation and design.
Create high-quality dishes with a focus on both aesthetics and taste.
Ensure kitchen operations meet quality and timeliness standards.
Assume the role of the Executive Chef when necessary to plan and direct food preparation.
Effectively resolve issues and take control of problematic situations.
Manage inventory by ordering supplies as needed.
Enforce sanitation and safety regulations.
Maintain a positive and professional demeanour with colleagues and customers.
Requirements and Skills:
Over 5 years of experience as a chef.
Minimum of 2 years in an administrative chef role.
Proficiency in international cuisines and various cooking methods.
Strong kitchen and staff management skills.
Familiarity with industry best practices.
Competency in using various computer software programs.
Culinary arts diploma/degree.
Relevant certifications.
